Best Places to Visit in Houston: Food, Nightlife, and Travel Tips.

Visiting Houston? Here’s where to eat, go out, and enjoy good vibes, perfect for girls’ trips, couples, and weekend getaways.

With only a few visits to Houston, Texas, on my belt, it’s safe to say HTX has become one of my favorite cities in the U.S. Honestly, as a tourist, there is truly so much to love about Houston. Endless things to do, warm and welcoming people, unmatched nightlife, Sunday Funday with pure fun-filled vibes, and I’ve yet to have bad food. With so much to love about Houston, it's easily one of the best places to visit in the States.

Thoughtfully Chosen Houston Stays

When I travel, I prefer staying in walkable locations that provide seamless access to nearby attractions, making it easier to get simple things like food and essential conveniences, and to reach shopping centers for a brief respite. The Galleria area has been my favorite so far, as it is extremely walkable, surrounded by a plethora of eateries, shopping centers, including the mall, and other local businesses that are great for sightseeing, brunching, and exploring. Along with bars and nightlife within proximity, making it easier to enjoy the city without long commutes.

My stay in the Downtown Business District was immersed in a wonderful cityscape. However, my love for city skylines was not the star of my stay; in fact, the hotel I stayed in was amazing. In addition to the stunning architecture and design of the hotel, the staff was amazing, the on-site restaurant(s) served delicious food with a great ambiance, the hotel was connected to various food places, and a unique feature: an underground tunnel connecting the hotel to nearby restaurants and businesses. Even better? The hotel was created and woman-owned. Proof that incredible experiences are curated and elevated by women in charge.
